Mr Akhavani is a specialist in liposuction based in London, providing men and women with an effective solution to reshape your body and feel more confident in your appearance.

Liposuction surgery can be used on various areas of the body, including:

 Face
 Trunk and abdomen
 Arms
 Legs

Liposuction can be performed on its own as an individual procedure, or utilised during other body reshaping procedures such as:

 Abdominoplasty
 Arm lift
 Thigh lift
 Butt lift

This procedure is particularly useful to remove localised areas of fat that haven’t responded to diet and exercise. Patients who have good quality skin that has not lost its elasticity seem to achieve the best results.

Consultation and Procedure

A full consultation is essential in order to ensure that you’re suitable for the procedure, and will entail a medical history and physical check-up, assessment of your desires and an in-depth discussion on what you can realistically expect to achieve from the process.

Liposuction is carried out under a general anaesthesia or sedation with the operating time ranging from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the number of areas being treated. Your safety is of upmost importance and as a result, Mr Akhavani will limit the amount of liposuction given in one operative procedure.

Recovery from Liposuction

You should be able to be discharged home on the same day or after one night’s stay in the hospital. It’s advisable to take 2 weeks off work and plan to resume light exercise 4 to 6 weeks after the operation.

You should wear a compression garment for 6 weeks after the operation, and expect 6 to 9 months to pass after the procedure before the full benefit of the surgery is realised.

In a small number of cases, some minor complications can arise, such as bruising, swelling and discomfort.

More infrequent are problems are contour deformity, asymmetry and numbness in the treated areas that can last a few months.

Mr Akhavani will carefully go through all the potential risks and complications of the liposuction surgery during your consultation.
